Ruppster's Mopar Section

I created this page in order to show some of my Mopar projects that aren't semi truck related along with pictures of Mopars I have owned in the past. I've also added some pics of Mopars owned by some friends.

Now for a little background. Long before I found out that Dodge made semi trucks I got hooked on Mopar muscle cars and pickups. It was this addiction to all things Mopar that my interest in the heavy duty Dodge trucks grew from. It all started with a 1972 Dodge Charger powered by a 400 Magnum V8 that my dad bought used around 1975. I was about 8 years old at the time he bought it and I grew up around this car. The car had great looks and was far from slow (even though she had a smog 400 and not a 440). To this day I blame that car with setting the hook in my mouth and forever putting me in the Mopar camp. Since then I have owned everything from 2.2 turbo'd powered Mopars to 440 powered Dodge 4x4's. When I first started going to car shows in the mid 80's Mopars were mostly ignored and the restoration market hardly had any parts for them. It was for this reason I stayed with Mopars. Mustangs and Camaros were a dime a dozen and I wanted something different. Years later that changed. As the prices of restored Fords and Chevies went through the roof more and more people turned to the lower priced Mopars. After several years Mopars became almost as common as their Ford and GM counterparts, parially due to the restoration market finally coming out with more and more reproduction parts for them. Now Mopars aren't quite as rare as they used to be. So when I saw my first Dodge heavy duty truck (the C800 mobile home toter with the Caterpillar 1150 V8 diesel engine) I knew I found something that you don't see every day. That's why my main interest switched from the cars to the big rigs. I wanted something to take to Mopar shows that most people have never seen. While my main interest has switched from Mopar cars to their larger heavy hauling brothers, I've still kept my interest in the Mopar line of cars. And that's what this page is all about.

Okay, enough of the history. Time for some pictures. :)
